ABOUT RICHARD SETH ABRAMSON
Richard Seth "Dick" Abramson began studying music at the age
of 6, just as magnetic tape recording (reel to reel) became a practical
reality. (Until that time, recording on to acetate disc was the only
way one could capture the spoken word or a musical performance.) Thus
began a parallel career: music performance and recording - which continues
to this day. Music, Recording, Radio, Television and Film production
are Dick's life, and he's seen, and worked with just about every technology
that's come along.
The musical side of Dick's career began in the Port Chester, NY school system - known for it prodigious music program. After High School, the next stop was Juilliard - where he received his Bachelors and Masters. He then went on to Post-Graduate work at Teachers College - Columbia University. Following that, was a long professional musical career that included performing with the Metropolitan Opera, New York Philharmonic, Metropolitan Museum Musica Aeterna Orchestra, Goldman Band, and even Ringling Brothers - Barnum & Bailey Circus!
One thing leads to another and these performance associations provided amazing opportunities to record and edit some of the world's most celebrated artists and ensembles, which then led him to similar associations in the worlds of Film and Television.
Dick has lent his keen ear to literally hundred's of projects, as well as providing creative inspiration to Narrators, Voice Actors, Dancers, Authors, Performing Artists, Inspirational Speakers, Human Resources Officers, Attorneys, as well as his commercial and corporation clients.
His
continued success is founded on his knowledge of music, sensitivity
to sound, a keen sense of dialog and timing, first-hand experience in
all aspects of entertainment, and broadcast. combined - not to mention
a true dedication to customer service.
